Go to the Campus Life tab for recreation info at your fingertips! Recreation information includes facility addresses and contact details. Additionally, for New Brunswick campus, facility schedules and a link to register for recreation classes is available too.

Also, new with this channel is an easy way to navigate recreation info across multiple campuses. Click on a specific campus link and view recreation info for that campus, then switch easily between campus links as needed.

myRutgers has been updated and expanded to provide new contents for faculty and staff. The updates include:

• New layout for home page
• New default tabs for faculty and staff: 'Employee Self Service' and 'Employee Resources'
• New default tabs for all users: 'Technology' and 'News'
• New built-in default calendar for staff in My Calendars channel: 'University Staff Holidays'
• Inclusion of Google @ Rutgers (ScarletApps), My Calendars and Word of the Day channels on 'Everyday' tab by default
• Inclusion of NJ Transit Discount channel on 'Campus Life' tab by default

Employee Self Service channel integrates with RIAS system to provide a mean for Rutgers employee to access/update payroll, compensation, benefits and personal information within myRutgers portal. The information includes:

• Payroll and Compensation: W-2 Online Consent, View W-2, View Paycheck, Direct Deposit, Voluntary Deductions, Compensation History, Federal W-4 Tax Information and NJ State-W4 Tax Information.
• Benefits: Health Care Dependent Summary and Benefits Summary.
• Personal Information: Personal Information Summary, Home and Mailing Address, Phone Numbers, Emergency Contacts, Name Change and Ethnic Groups.
• Other Resources: Absence Reporting System (ARS), HCM System User Blog and RIAS/HR Service Desk.

The Email channel has been updated to include the email preview for ScarletMail service in both full view and mobile view. The preview includes up-to 10 latest messages in your Inbox and links to the webmail service and other email web tools directly.

The preview feature is now available in mobile view for other supported email services as well (including Eden, RCI, Clam, Crab, Pegasus, Andromeda, AESOP and Dragon).

myRutgers has been updated to provide the capability to switch between mobile view and full view. After logging into myRutgers, you may switch your portal view via the "Switch to Full View" or "Switch to Mobile View" link at the bottom of the page. You will be prompted to re-login for this change to take effect and your selection will be persisted until you switch your view again.

Mobility is a way of life for many of our students, faculty and staff members, as well as the worldwide general public. myRutgers portal has been enhanced to provide the mobile theme, which is designed to make it more user friendly when accessed by mobile devices such as smartphones, PDAs, etc.

• Course Schedule Channel has been enhanced to retrieve course schedule data using AJAX web technology.
• My Calendars Channel has been enhanced to retrieve calendar data using AJAX web technology. Users can now configure their calendar time-zone preference and also change the starting day for a day/week/month view period of their calendar events by using the mini-calendar widget.
• Weather Channel has been enhanced to provide international weather courtesy by World Weather Online. Users also now have the ability to add/delete multiple locations and choose metric or standard units of measurement with ease.

This is a new channel introduced on the "Welcome" tab. The showcase presents myRutgers featured services to make users more aware of available channels/features and also serves as a documentation source for these services. It also provides links to invoke these services directly. A different service will be presented everyday and users can also view other featured services on demand.

Skins are color variations on the presentational aspects of a channel window. This includes font, tab, channel styles and colors. In response to student feedback, myRutgers introduces two new skins called "Sports" and "Black and White". The "Black and White" skin has a higher contrast and larger font size where the "Sports" skin introduces variations of Rutgers' athletic sports.
